Competition Guide
Competitions are ongoing group games where players compete against each other for prizes. Players submit their entry to the correct Competition folder, and after a minimum of five entries have accumulated in the folder the winners are rolled. Prizes change periodically, and are often exclusive items or large pools of coins.
Rules & Guidelines
- Each round has a maximum of five participants.
- A single Nemeion cannot be submitted twice to the same Competition until their previous entry has been judged
- Winners are determined by RNG (Random Number Generator), with bonuses included
- To participate you must create a tracking journal where admins can respond with the results of the Competitions
- Players may participate in a total of 10 Competitions per month
- You must include the form listed at the bottom of this page in the description section of your entry

Carcere Currus (Chariot Racing)
Chariot Racing is a popular, dangerous sport enjoyed by many citizens of Nemeia. It is a fast-paced, exhilarating event that involves two teams competing in an olympic ring. The goal of the event is to knock their opponent from atop their chariot. Participants race at top speed, and often ram into each other in an effort to overturn the other driver. |
►Complete a full body (at least 80% with flexibility for perspective/composition) colored image with a moderately complex background, set inside a ring.
►A Chariot connected to a Nemeion, in addition to a driver are required
►Should an opponent be included, the opponent must be depicted in at least 50% body, and follow all other requirements. Shading for both is optional.
►Alternatively, you can choose to write at least 1000 words of literature, which must take placing during the fight and include the opponent(s) and your lion(s) as roughly equal parts of the story.

Capere Vexillum (Capture the Flag)
Capture the Flag is a competition played outdoors where two teams each have a flag (or some form of marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base", and bring it back safely to their own base. |
►Complete a full body (at least 80% with flexibility for perspective/composition) colored image with a moderately complex background, in an open outdoor area. A flag or some sort of marker must be depicted in some way in order to qualify as a Capture the Flag entry.
►Should an opponent be included, the opponent must be depicted in at least 50% body, and follow all other requirements. Shading for both is optional.
►Alternatively, you can choose to write at least 1000 words of literature, which must take placing during the fight and include the opponent(s) and your lion(s) as roughly equal parts of the story.

Periculi Bellum (Champion Battles)
Finally, the most prestigious kind of battle is a the Periculi Bellum, or champion battle, fought against a limited-time contender who has posted a challenge to all of the bravest Colosseum-going lions and their owners. Champion battles are not easy, and are harder to win, but the rewards are worth every scar. The match results will be rolled randomly, though certain things can influence your chances; such as items, training, and armor. The deadline for the champion, and the current champion's information will be posted on the group's front page.

Venandi (Coursing)
Coursing is a competition where Nemeion pursue other animals─chiefly fox, rabbits, or boar─catching their prey by speed, running by sight, but not by scent. Coursing is a common hunting technique, practiced by the nobility, the landed and wealthy, as well as by commoners with sighthounds and lurchers.

►Prey must be depicted in at least 75% body, and follow all other requirements. Shading for both is optional. Only one image is required.

Spectaculum (Showing)
Showing is a competition in which Nemeion are trained and groomed to conform to specific breed specifications. Nemeion are ranked based on their temper, beauty, and health; more often, traits are judged by how well a Nemeion displays attributes of their breed. |
